Sightems seen while stopping for lunch at an anonymous spot in the San Joaquin Valley. The best route to the desert, I've found, is to cut over from Highway 5 to 99 well before Bakersfield, thus avoiding the traffic found in the Bakersfield sprawl.
A number of fruit trees were blossoming . . . very nice.
